In 1981, William “Bill” Smith began his investment career, building the foundation, the philosophy, values and beliefs for what would ultimately become the WB Smith Companies, which was established in 1991. Striving to provide objective, balanced, financial guidance to individuals, families and businesses, Bill built the Firm around a team of seasoned investment professionals who work collectively to assist clients in reaching strong, intelligent wealth management decisions.
Throughout the years, the team has grown steadily, and now consists of seven full time professionals, supported by an experienced and dependable administrative, technical and support staff. The Firm currently has more than $250,000,000 in assets under management, and is committed to serving its clients with integrity, expanding the depth of its resources and staying abreast of the markets to enhance its capacity to provide comprehensive wealth management solutions.
In 2005 the Firm moved its office to a new location — an historic home, built in 1877 on The Common in Grafton Massachusetts. Lovingly restored to its original glory, with its striking architecture, deep rich mahogany doors and regal prominence in the center of Town, the old mansion at Two South Street is now the prestigious home base of WB Smith Companies, where its team of professionals invite you to cross the threshold to a unique financial experience.
